Wedding Design & Décor in New Jersey

Your Wedding Should Feel as Beautiful as It Looks

You probably have dozens—maybe hundreds—of saved photos.

You know which flowers you love. You've saved tablescapes, stationery, candles, linens, ceremony installations, and little details that caught your eye.

But somehow, putting all of those individual ideas together into one cohesive wedding feels much harder.

That's where wedding design comes in.

Day Dream Planning's Wedding Design + Décor service is for couples who want professional help developing the visual direction of their wedding—from the overall concept to the smallest details that bring it to life.

Together, we'll take your inspiration and turn it into a wedding that feels intentional, cohesive, personal, and completely yours.

More Than Just Wedding Décor

Wedding design isn't about adding as much décor as possible.

It's about understanding how everything works together.

Your venue.
Your color palette.
Your flowers.
Your linens.
Your stationery.
Your tables.
Your lighting.
Your signage.
Your ceremony.

Even the smallest details contribute to how the wedding feels when someone walks into the room.

Instead of choosing each element independently, I look at your wedding as one complete visual experience.

The goal is not simply to make it pretty.

The goal is to make it feel like you.

Wedding Design Is Perfect for You If...

You might love this service if:

  • You have a Pinterest board full of ideas but aren't sure how to bring them together.

  • You know what you like but struggle to define your wedding style.

  • You've chosen your venue but aren't sure how to transform the space.

  • You want your reception tables to feel thoughtfully designed rather than simply decorated.

  • You're overwhelmed by linens, rentals, florals, signage, candles, stationery, and all of the little decisions.

  • You want someone with a creative eye helping you decide what works—and what you don't actually need.

  • You care deeply about the atmosphere and guest experience.

  • You want your wedding to feel personal rather than copied from Pinterest.

You don't need to arrive with a perfectly defined aesthetic.

That's what we'll create together.

What's Included in Wedding Design?

Creative Direction

We start with the feeling.

Romantic and candlelit?

Organic and garden-inspired?

Modern and minimal?

Colorful and playful?

Soft, intimate, and understated?

We'll talk about your venue, personal style, inspiration, priorities, and the experience you want your guests to have.

From there, I'll develop a visual direction that becomes the foundation for the rest of the design.

This may include:

  • Overall design concept

  • Wedding style direction

  • Inspiration and moodboard

  • Color palette

  • Material and texture direction

  • Visual references

  • Recommendations for where to invest your décor budget

Ceremony Design

Your ceremony is one of the most meaningful parts of the entire day—and the design should complement that moment rather than compete with it.

Depending on your venue and vision, we'll consider:

  • Ceremony backdrop

  • Floral installations

  • Aisle design

  • Welcome signage

  • Seating

  • Candles

  • Entrance details

  • Reserved seating details

  • Programs

  • Repurposing ceremony décor for the reception

We'll look at the ceremony space as a whole and decide where design will make the greatest impact.

Reception Design

This is where all of the visual elements really begin working together.

We'll consider the room layout, tables, chairs, linens, florals, candles, stationery, lighting, and decorative details to create a reception that feels cohesive from every angle.

Design may include:

  • Reception layout

  • Table style and placement

  • Linens

  • Chairs

  • Tabletop rentals

  • Place settings

  • Glassware

  • Flatware

  • Napkins

  • Candles

  • Floral direction

  • Centerpiece style

  • Table numbers

  • Menus

  • Place cards

  • Seating chart

  • Signage

  • Sweetheart or head table design

  • Cake and dessert display

  • Bar styling

  • Lounge areas

  • Additional focal points throughout the reception

Not every wedding needs every element.

Part of good design is knowing what to leave out.

Tablescape Design

The reception table is where your guests will spend a significant part of the evening, which makes it one of my favorite places to design.

We'll create a tablescape where every layer works together—from the linen underneath everything to the flowers, candles, menus, napkins, glassware, and smaller finishing details.

Rather than choosing things because they're individually beautiful, we'll choose them because they contribute to the entire composition.

The result should feel layered and thoughtful without feeling overdone.

Floral Direction

Flowers play an enormous role in establishing the visual language of a wedding.

I'll help you develop floral inspiration that complements the overall design and communicate that direction clearly when working with your florist.

We may consider:

  • Bridal bouquet inspiration

  • Ceremony florals

  • Cocktail-hour florals

  • Centerpiece styles

  • Floral color palette

  • Flower varieties and textures

  • Statement installations

  • Repurposing arrangements throughout the day

Your florist remains the floral expert—we make sure the floral direction fits beautifully into the larger wedding design.

Rentals, Linens & Decorative Details

This is often where couples become overwhelmed.

There are endless chairs.

Endless linens.

Twenty slightly different shades of ivory.

Six versions of essentially the same wine glass.

You shouldn't have to spend hours comparing all of them.

I'll help narrow down the options and recommend pieces that support the design we're creating.

Depending on your wedding, this may include sourcing or recommending:

  • Linens

  • Napkins

  • Chairs

  • Tables

  • Chargers

  • Glassware

  • Flatware

  • Tabletop pieces

  • Candles and candleholders

  • Lounge furniture

  • Bars

  • Specialty rentals

  • Decorative accessories

Stationery & Signage Direction

Your stationery doesn't exist separately from your wedding design.

Menus, place cards, table numbers, seating charts, welcome signs, bar menus, and other paper details are another opportunity to reinforce the visual direction.

I'll help make sure your fonts, colors, materials, shapes, and overall stationery style complement the rest of your wedding rather than introducing an entirely different aesthetic.

Décor Sourcing

Once we've developed the design, I'll help determine where everything actually comes from.

That might mean working with rental companies, florists, stationery designers, specialty vendors, or sourcing individual decorative elements.

I'll help you determine what makes sense to:

Rent.

Purchase.

Have custom-made.

Repurpose.

And perhaps most importantly—

skip entirely.

Beautiful wedding design isn't about buying more things.

It's about making better choices.

Design Execution & Styling

A beautiful design plan only matters if it actually looks that way on the wedding day.

Depending on your package, Day Dream Planning can oversee the styling and placement of your design elements so that the details we've spent months developing are executed intentionally.

This may include:

  • Décor placement

  • Tablescape styling

  • Candle placement

  • Signage placement

  • Welcome table styling

  • Guest-book area styling

  • Seating chart setup

  • Place-card placement

  • Personal décor

  • Final visual adjustments

  • Coordination with your florist and rental vendors

You shouldn't spend the morning of your wedding deciding where the candles go.

What the Design Process Looks Like

01. Discover

We'll talk about your wedding, venue, personal style, inspiration, priorities, and how you want the celebration to feel.

You can bring me a perfectly organized Pinterest board—or 47 screenshots that make absolutely no sense together.

Both are welcome.

02. Define

I'll help identify the common threads in what you're drawn to and develop a clear creative direction.

We'll establish the overall aesthetic, color palette, and design priorities.

03. Design

We'll build out the individual elements of the wedding—from the ceremony and reception to tablescapes, florals, stationery, rentals, and decorative details.

04. Source

We'll identify the vendors, rentals, and pieces needed to bring the concept to life while keeping your overall budget in mind.

05. Refine

As vendors are booked and details evolve, we'll make adjustments so everything continues to work together.

06. Bring It to Life

When the wedding arrives, the inspiration boards become an actual space you can walk into.

Your Wedding Doesn't Need to Look Like Everyone Else's

Pinterest is wonderful for inspiration.

But your wedding shouldn't feel like a recreation of someone else's.

Maybe you're drawn to old-world romance and wildflowers.

Maybe you love clean lines but also want your grandmother's vintage candlesticks on the tables.

Maybe your favorite colors aren't currently considered "wedding colors."

Good.

Those are the details that make design interesting.

My job isn't to give you a wedding aesthetic.

It's to help uncover yours.
